Phase Inspections
Are you getting your new home custom built?
A lot of custom home builders around the Houston area build beautiful quality homes, but no matter who your builder is, chances are the work on various parts of your new home has been awarded to a subcontractor that has the lowest bid. Some examples of these subcontractors are; eletrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, foundation, masonry, HVAC contractors.
Most of the time the professionals are performing a job they are very good at, but there are also people who think they do not have to follow the standards of quality workmanship of the company they work for and/or the builder whom they are contractually obligated to perform quality sevices.
It is for these reasons I offer my Phase Inspection service. I do not work for the builder or contractor...I work for you and I will go out to your new home site throughout the construction process at various phases to make sure everyone on the site is doing quality work and your new home will meet regulatory standards to which all structures must meet. I report my findings directly to you.
That way anything that is questionable or clearly in violation can be brought to the attention of the builder and corrected before it is sealed up or hidden by another part of the building process.
Example: The electrician installs the wrong size wire through the wall studs. If that is not discovered before the drywall installers put on the sheetrock it will be covered and hidden from view. Time elapses until it shorts out one day and your new home warranty is already expired, now you are facing unwarranted repair cost that could have been avoided.
